Tetris - Complete Game Guide
Tetris is the classic block-stacking puzzle game. Tetrominoes - shapes made of four blocks - fall from the top of a 10-wide grid. Rotate and position them to fill complete rows. Cleared lines score points, and the speed increases as you level up.

How to Play
Seven different tetromino shapes fall one at a time from the top of the grid. Move them left, right, or rotate them to fit into gaps at the bottom. When every cell in a horizontal row is filled, that row clears and the blocks above drop down.
- Swipe left/right or use arrow keys to move the piece
- Tap or press Up to rotate the piece
- Swipe down or press Down to hard drop instantly
- A ghost piece shows where the current piece will land
- The next piece is shown in a preview box to the right
Tips and Strategy
Pro tip: Keep one column open on the side for I-pieces (the long straight one). Clearing 4 lines at once - a Tetris - scores far more than clearing lines one at a time.
- Build flat and even - avoid leaving holes underneath blocks
- Plan ahead by checking the next piece preview constantly
- Use hard drop for speed when you know exactly where a piece should go
- Wall kicks let you rotate pieces even when pressed against the wall
- The speed increases every 10 lines, so clear lines efficiently early on
Scoring
Points are awarded for clearing lines, multiplied by your current level. Hard drops earn 2 bonus points per row dropped.
- 1 line: 100 x level
- 2 lines: 300 x level
- 3 lines: 500 x level
- 4 lines (Tetris): 800 x level
