Emoji Oddball - Complete Game Guide
Emoji Oddball is an observation game that challenges your ability to spot tiny differences at speed. Each round presents a grid filled with identical emojis - except for one impostor. Your job is to find and tap the odd one out as quickly as possible. The grid starts at a manageable 3x3 but grows up to a dense 6x6, making each round progressively harder to scan. With 30 seconds on the clock, sharp eyes and a systematic approach are the keys to a big score.
How to Play
Each round fills a grid with copies of the same emoji plus one that is different. The difference might be a completely different emoji or a visually similar one. Tap the odd one to clear the round and load the next grid. The grid size increases as you find more oddballs.
- Scan the grid and tap the one emoji that is different from the rest
- Each correct find scores one point and loads a new grid immediately
- Grid size grows from 3x3 up to 6x6 as you progress through rounds
- The 30-second timer runs continuously across all rounds
Tips and Strategy
- On small grids (3x3 and 4x4), a quick glance is usually enough - trust your first instinct
- On larger grids (5x5 and 6x6), scan row by row from top to bottom to avoid missing corners
- The odd emoji often differs in colour or shape - train yourself to notice colour shifts first since they are the most visible
- Tap the moment you spot it - hesitating to double-check costs valuable seconds over many rounds
Scoring
Each oddball you correctly identify and tap adds one point to your score. Your final score is the total number of oddballs found within the 30-second time limit. There are no penalties for tapping the wrong emoji, but an incorrect tap wastes time you could spend scanning for the real oddball.
