Number Tap - Complete Game Guide
Number Tap is a speed and visual scanning challenge that seems simple until you try to beat the clock. A 5x5 grid presents the numbers 1 through 25 in a completely shuffled layout. Your task is to tap them in ascending order - 1, 2, 3, all the way to 25 - as quickly as possible within 60 seconds. The faster you finish, the higher your score. It is a brilliant test of pattern recognition, hand-eye coordination, and composure under time pressure.
How to Play
When the game starts, 25 numbered tiles appear in a randomised 5x5 grid. Tap number 1 first, then 2, then 3, continuing in order all the way to 25. Tapping the wrong number does nothing - only the correct next number in the sequence registers.
- Tap each number in ascending order from 1 through 25
- Incorrect taps are ignored - only the next number in sequence can be selected
- A 60-second countdown timer runs from the moment you start
- Complete the full sequence before time expires to record a score
Tips and Strategy
- Before tapping 1, spend one second scanning the grid to mentally note where the first few numbers are
- Scan in a consistent pattern - row by row or column by column - so you cover the whole grid methodically
- Stay calm even if you lose track of the next number; panicking wastes more time than pausing to scan
- On mobile, use your dominant hand for tapping and hold the device steady with your other hand
Scoring
Your score is the time remaining on the clock when you tap number 25, measured in centiseconds (hundredths of a second). A higher score means you finished faster. For example, completing the grid with 38.50 seconds left gives a score of 3850. If time runs out before you reach 25, the game ends and your score depends on the remaining time at the last tap.
