Rocket Lander - Complete Game Guide
Rocket Lander is a physics-driven landing game inspired by classic Lunar Lander. Your rocket falls under gravity and you control two thrusters to guide it onto a glowing landing pad. The challenge: touch down gently. Slam into the pad too fast and you crash. Each successful landing earns points and spawns a smaller, harder pad.
How to Play
Gravity pulls your rocket down. Two thrusters - left and right - push you up and sideways. A glowing blue pad is your landing zone. Your job is to control thrust and angle so you arrive over the pad moving slowly enough to survive the touch-down.
- Hold the left half of the screen to fire the left thruster (push up and right)
- Hold the right half to fire the right thruster (push up and left)
- Hold both at once to thrust straight up
- Land on the pad with low speed for a soft landing
- Hit the ground off the pad or slam the pad hard = crash
Tips and Strategy
- Use short thrust bursts instead of holding - easier to control vertical speed
- Cancel horizontal drift early. Once you're drifting sideways, it takes more fuel to correct
- Approach the pad vertically from above rather than swooping in sideways
- The dashed guide line appears when you're directly above the pad - use it as a visual target
- Pads get narrower with each successful landing, so master slow arrivals
Scoring
Each soft landing scores between 1 and 5 points based on how gently you touch down. Barely-brushing landings score 5, harder but survivable landings score 1-4. Crashes end the game with no points for that attempt. Pad width shrinks as your score grows.
