Lava Leap - Complete Game Guide
Lava Leap is a timing-based jumping game. Your blue character stands on a stone platform and must leap to the next platform across a river of lava. Hold to charge your jump power and release to launch. Under-charge and you drop short. Over-charge and you sail past. Each platform is narrower than the last, and a gold patch in the middle rewards perfect precision.
How to Play
You start on a stone platform. The next platform sits across a pool of lava. Hold anywhere on the screen to charge a jump meter - it fills from green to yellow to red. When you release, your character leaps forward with power proportional to the charge.
- Hold the screen to start charging your jump meter
- The meter goes green (low) to yellow (mid) to red (high)
- Release to launch - the more charge, the further you jump
- Land on the platform to score. Land on the gold patch for 5 points
- Miss the platform and you fall into the lava - game over
Tips and Strategy
- Learn the rhythm of the charge meter - it fills in a predictable time
- The gold patch shrinks along with the platform - early in the game it's easy, later it requires pixel-perfect timing
- A slightly over-powered jump is usually recoverable if it lands on platform edge; under-powered always falls short
- Don't rush. There's no timer between jumps, so take a breath and aim carefully
- Gaps grow with score - by round 10+ you'll need near-maximum charge for every jump
Scoring
Standard landings on the stone platform give 1 point. Landing on the small gold patch in the middle gives 5 points. The platform and gold patch both shrink as your score grows, making each successful leap progressively harder. No lives - one miss and the run ends.
