Gem Slice - Complete Game Guide
Gem Slice is a satisfying slicing game inspired by the classic fruit-ninja formula. Colourful gems launch up from the bottom of the screen in parabolic arcs and your job is to swipe through them to slice them mid-air. Slice three or more in one motion and you get a combo bonus. Touch a bomb and it's over.
How to Play
Gems of different colours fly up from below in parabolic arcs. Drag or swipe your pointer across them to slice them mid-flight. Each slice is worth 1 point. Occasionally a black spiky bomb is thrown in - cut one of those and you lose instantly.
- Press and drag to draw a slice trail on the screen
- Any gem crossed by the trail gets sliced for 1 point
- Slice 3+ in a single stroke for a combo bonus (extra 2 points each)
- Never cut a bomb - it ends the game immediately
- Letting 10 gems fall unsliced also ends the game
Tips and Strategy
- Focus on fluid, sweeping strokes across clusters rather than jabs at individual gems
- Bombs glow red and are round - at first glance they look similar to dark gems, so double-check before you commit
- When gems and bombs rise together, slice around the bomb (go above or below its trajectory)
- Don't panic if you miss a gem - 10 misses is a lot. Focus on clean slicing over chasing every gem
Scoring
Each gem sliced scores 1 point. Slicing 3 or more gems in one continuous stroke triggers a combo bonus - you earn 2 extra points per gem in that stroke. A 5-gem combo is therefore worth 15 points (5 + 10 bonus).
